Windows 7 - 32 / 64 bit

Offical Server Leaked

Posted Image

Windows 7 has been officially launched, but Microsoft never makes available official download links that allow retail customers to download setup installer or ISO image of Windows 7, despite digital downloads have been the sole distribution channel for many that purchases from online store or on MSDN or TechNet subscriptions.

Many mass general public who requires a Windows 7 installation DVD or ISO image have downloaded it via other sources or torrents, this carries the risk of getting fake, incorrect, malicious or infected images instead.

Now the direct download links to the Windows 7 operating system purchased online have been leaked. The installation files of Windows 7 is hosted on the server on domain "digitalrivercontent" owned by Digital River, one of the delivery partners for Vista and also the brain behind Windows Marketplace e-commerce stores. The Windows 7 installation files are meant as a way of ESD (Electronic Software Distribution).

Unlike Windows Vista, each editions of Windows 7 has its own different and separate download links. The Windows 7 setup installer package comes in 3 parts, which is an executable that starts the extraction or unpacking and installation process, plus setup1.box and setup2.box. After extracting all content to a folder named ExpandedSetup, the installation files should be the same with what contains on a DVD.

Note: If you have corrupted files or incomplete files, try to use a download manager to download manager, as the server seems to close connection once the size reaches 2 GB.

Making into a bootable DVD

For many people who order Windows 7 through online store such as Digital River, the download of Windows 7 ESD installation files (or 64bit Windows download links) is not in a single ISO image format, but as electronic digital distribution files. Instead, users will download and get an executable (.EXE) which name differs depending on the edition of Windows 7 ordered, plus Setup1.Box and Setup2.Box.

For people who wants the ISO images (Windows 7 ISO can also be downloaded directly) instead, just follow the easy instructions below to create and make a bootable ISO image out of the downloaded files, which can be burned to a DVD disc for a bootable Windows 7 DVD disc.

1.Put all 3 downloaded files (the .exe, setup1.box and setup2.box) in the same folder (for this tutorial, let’s assume the files are put on C:\ else you need to modify the path accordingly).

2.Right click on each of three files, select Properties, and then click on Unblock button to prevent files from unable to be accessed. Click OK when done.

3.Run the .exe executable as administrator. It starts to unload the box (extract and unpack the installation content), and will create a new folder called expandedSetup, and will populate the folder with all necessary Windows 7 setup files, as shown in figure below.

4.Exit from Install Windows wizard dialog.

5.Download Oscdimg CD/DVD Premastering Utility: oscdimg.exe
http://depositfiles.com/files/y1vc0a9f0

Put the downloaded oscdimg.exe into %SystemDrive%\Windows\System32 folder.

Note: oscdimg is included in Windows Automated Installation Kit (AIK) as part of WinPE. So if you have that installed, there is no need to download the file again.

6.Open an elevated command prompt as administrator, and run the following command:

Quote

oscdimg.exe –bC:\expandedSetup\boot\etfsboot.com –u2 –h -m -lWIN_EN_DVD C:\expandedSetup\ C:\Win7.iso

Above command assumes that expandedSetup folder is located at C:\ root directory. If it’s not, change accordingly. The -llabelname (note: it’s a small L, not 1) specify volume label, which can be changed, so do the output ISO file. Also remember that if the path contains space, use quotation mark (”) to enclose the full path.

7.A bootable Windows 7 DVD ISO image in UDF format will be created as Win7.iso in C:\ or any folder you specified above. Burn the newly created ISO with a CD/DVD burning software such as Nero, Ashampoo Burning Studio or Alcohol 120%. In Windows 7, burn the ISO direct from Windows 7 Explorer without third-party software

The created ISO is identical to official Windows 7 ISO for both full and retail version, and can be used to clean install Windows 7 with a upgrade license.

Select which version of Windows 7

1.Download and install an disc image utility such as PowerISO or UltraISO to open the ISO image of Windows 7 DVD (if it's the ISO)
2.Browse to /sources/ folder.
3.Locate ei.cfg file.
4.Depending on preference, it’s possible to modify/edit or simply delete ei.cfg file, as explained below.
Choice 1: Delete ei.cfg

Note: This method may not be supported anymore on Windows 7 RTM, as Microsoft decides to confine each Windows 7 disc image or media to one edition of Windows 7 only. If you encounter error after deleting ei.cfg, use the next method to choose your desired edition of Windows 7 to install instead.

When ei.cfg is deleted, Windows 7 setup wizard will give user an option to select and choose which version (SKU) of operating system user wants to install during installation.

Choice 2: Edit and Modify ei.cfg

By modifying the EditionID section of ei.cfg by replacing Ultimate (or other edition specified there) with another edition, user can preset another edition SKU of Windows 7 that user want setup to install automatically. The Edition ID available for installation are as follow:

◦Ultimate
◦Professional
◦HomePremium
◦HomeBasic
◦Starter
Save the ei.cfg after editing.

5.For user who wants to in-place upgrade to Windows 7, it’s possible to run setup.exe from extracted DVD contents now. The modified ISO can also be burned to a DVD disc or saved to a new ISO image.

Key and Activation

This is the offical Windows 7, however you will still need a key for it and to activate. I have a legal key and have not tried cracking, but there are a lot out there. Windows 7 Ultimate is spos to be the best version and the easiest to find a crack
